An American flag fell with a loud crash behind Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez while he was being interviewed on MSNBC.

Perez was interviewed following a DNC event in Portland, Maine, where he was greeted with boos and scattered cheers.

The gaffe continues a Democrat tradition started by presidential loser Hillary Clinton, who had several American flags tip over during events.
