In the latest case of mass Trump Derangement Syndrome in action, a woman who was fired by her employer after being photographed flipping off the President has raised almost $75,000 on a ‘GoFundMe’ campaign.

Juli Briskman was pictured cycling close to Trump’s motorcade last week and giving the President the middle finger:

Her former employer, marketing firm Akima LLC, accused Briskman of violating its social media policy with the picture.

“They said, ‘We’re separating from you,‘” she told reporters, adding “Basically, you cannot have ‘lewd’ or ‘obscene’ things in your social media. So they were calling flipping him off ‘obscene.’”

In a further interview with Megan Kelly, Briskman said she does not regret the action, noting “I think we have a big problem in this country.”

“It was a spur-of-the-moment decision,” Briskman said. “Lots of things were going through my mind about how disappointed I am with this administration. I didn’t really have any other way to express my opinion to Mr. Trump, and so the finger was what I had at the time.”

“Juli Briskman is an inspiration to us all,” writes Rob Mello, who created the GoFundMe campaign for Briskman. Over 3,000 people have made donations, including Rosie O’Donnell, who pledged $1,000, as well as an anonymous donor who gave $1,500.

Briskman thanked supporters in a statement posted on the fundraising page Tuesday, noting “I am not sure what the future holds, but I am buoyed by your support. For now, I can just say THANK YOU and promise to be a good steward of these funds.”
