A concealed weapons class near Cincinnati has drawn interest from hundreds of teachers and school employees in the wake of the deadly Florida high school shooting, CNN reported.

“Attention Butler County School Employees: If you’re interested in our FREE CCW class, email your full name, school affiliate, and contact information to [email protected]. Accepting 50 candidates. We will contact you for date / time of class,” Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones tweeted over the weekend.

He received 50 requests within 20 minutes, CNN reported. On Tuesday, he had received 300 requests and closed registrations.

Ohio law says school employees must keep their guns in a locked car when in a school safety zone unless they are given written permission to bring their guns into the school.
