Federal investigators are searching for a Flushing medical school graduate who allegedly fled to Syria and may be working as doctor for Islamic State extremists, according to a report from The Detroit News.

The News cited sealed federal court documents involving Mohamed Maleeh Masha, 24, of Flushing, that detailed a search warrant that was briefly posted on the federal court online case database. Court records said the FBI is trying to figure out if Masha is supporting Islamic groups such as ISIS.

Agents also were looking for evidence Masha had traveled overseas to help jihadists or engage in terrorism, according to the report.

Masha lived in Flushing until last year, The News reported, and his mother and several siblings still live there. He grew up in Flushing, but attended high school in Denver, according to the News.
