Facebook quietly lifted the ban on #WalkAway founder Brandon Straka shortly after his appearance on Thursday’s Alex Jones Show.

But instead of notifying Stroka first, the social media giant reportedly informed a reporter on the ban removal; the reporter then contacted Straka to push the narrative that he and conservatives like him were lying about social media bans.

“Facebook apparently lifted my ban – then CONTACTED A REPORTER – NOT ME- & this reporter has already put out a piece calling me a liar about the ban,” said Straka. “I just checked & the ban has been lifted.”

Straka was allegedly banned from Facebook simply for promoting his Monday interview with Alex Jones.

“FACEBOOK JUST BANNED ME AS I AM PLANNING THE #WalkAway March on Washington!!! I have been banned from posting leading up to the March. This is devastating for our ability to reach people!!! I was banned for mentioning my interview with Alex Jones. Can anybody help???”

The tweet that earned him the ban was “Hey, Patriots! I’m going live on Infowars.com in 15 minutes.”

After receiving the Facebook ban, Straka warned his followers that it is apparently a bannable offense for merely mentioning Alex Jones.

“To be clear, you can be banned for SAYING THE NAME of a person or show that they don’t like,” he said.

But former guest to Alex Jones’ show, Bill Mitchell, suggested that Straka’s potent hashtag was the actual reason for the ban.

“#WalkAway Campaign is a grassroots movement,” Straka responded. “We don’t have corporate sponsors. We don’t have backers.”

“We are raising the money and the awareness for our event ourselves. And today Facebook took away my ability to communicate with the 180,000 members of the campaign leading up to the March.”

“This is going to smash my ability to provide information, answer questions, raise money, and rally with my people,” he added. “I am crushed.”

#WalkAway is a campaign designed to move Americans, particularly progressives, away from establishment Democrats.

The hashtag-based campaign struck a nerve because it speaks to an electorate that feels abandoned.

The removal of the 30-day ban, after Straka spoke out on Thursday, demonstrates that Facebook was taking too much heat for its brazen political bias.
