A veteran Dallas police officer was arrested early Sunday on a charge of sexual assault after police say he used his position to compel sex acts.

David Kattner was arrested about 1:20 a.m. Sunday. Police say he’s accused of contacting female prostitutes and making them perform sex acts while he was working an extra job.

Kattner is a 26-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department and is assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division. He has been placed on administrative leave, pending an investigation, according to a police department news release.
