American activists are set to stage a rally in the northeastern state of Pennsylvania in solidarity with Egyptian protesters that have been targeted by US-made tear gas, Press TV reports.

Egyptian protesters say gas cartridges, supplied by the American company Combined Systems Inc of Pennsylvania, are used by Egypt’s security forces against demonstrators who have in the past months rallied against the ruling military council.

Activists in Pennsylvania will march on the premises of the US-based tear gas manufacturer, located in northwest of the state, which is one of the major suppliers of such “less-lethal” weapons to Egypt.

The activists say they want to expose businesses and institutions that help dictators around the world crush pro-democracy movements.
