The U.S. Army is buying an undisclosed number of riot control CS gas canisters in order for troops to “become familiar with the effects of the agent,” as concerns grow about civil unrest inside the United States.

According to a solicitation posted on August 5, the U.S. Army is looking to secure a five year contract for the procurement of K765 CS Capsules.

“The CS (ortho-chlorobenzylidene malono-nitrile) Riot Control Agent Capsule is used in training scenarios for troops to become familiar with the effects of the agent,” states the solicitation.

The exact nature of the solicitation and the quantity of canisters being purchased remains secret as a result of the “Technical Data Package” that accompanies the order being classified.

“Distribution Statement D means that the TDP cannot be distributed on the Internet,” states the solicitation.

The equipment will be delivered to Army Contracting Command at Rock Island, Illinois, which hosts the largest government-owned weapons manufacturing arsenal in the country.

As we have exhaustively documented, the federal government and the U.S. Army have been preparing for domestic unrest in the United States for a number of years. Jade Helm, a military exercise currently taking place across the country, includes role playing scenarios where troops have to operate undetected in “hostile” territory.

The DHS, the Army and other federal agencies have been acquiring huge amounts of riot gear over the last few years in preparation for “public demonstration(s)” and “civil disturbances”.

Throughout the year, we have highlighted numerous National Guard and U.S. Army drills that feature troops training to police and intern American citizens during martial law-style scenarios, including an exercise in Arizona which revolved around U.S. Marines chasing down unruly citizens inside a mock internment camp while role players chant for food and water.

Top analysts and commentators have also repeatedly asserted that it’s only a matter of time until America sees more civil unrest to rival and exceed the Ferguson and Baltimore riots.

Fearing global unrest and the possibility of another major conflict, many members of the elite have been buying remote property and land in places like New Zealand, according to reports that emerged out of January’s Davos Economic Forum.

Economist Robert Johnson said the rich were making such purchases “because they think they need a getaway” from Ferguson-style riots that will erupt as a result of widening wealth inequality, which it at its worse in virtually all developed countries since the 1980s.

High earners in major cities like New York are also installing “safe rooms” as part of preparations for potential disorder and a new crime wave that could follow.
