News that the ISIS terror group is currently holding two Japanese men hostage was answered with Photoshop hilarity by the Japanese online community, many of whom played off the notion that the terrorists’ latest propaganda video appeared to be staged.
Shortly following the release of the video this week, in which an ISIS member demands a $200 million ransom for Japanese hostages Kenji Goto Jogo and Haruna Yukawa, crudely produced Photoshopped images began circulating on Twitter poking fun at the supposed terror threat.

Here are a few more being circulated:
The video itself has been met with intense skepticism after lighting inconsistencies were spotted, suggesting it may have been filmed on a sound stage utilizing a Chromakey green screen.
Previous videos put out last year by ISIS were also considered suspicious for their lack of violence, blood and other irregularities.
The online mockery illustrates how the public has been stirred to flex their right to freedom of expression, especially following the Charlie Hebdo assault, considered an attack on free speech by many.
The “grand prix” shows a mass rejection of the fear campaign disseminated by the terror group, which does more to keep the military industrial complex churning than pose a viable threat, and is also indicative of the public’s increased awareness of ISIS’ western intelligence ties.
