President Donald Trump on Saturday reviewed events of the past week surrounding the Russia probe investigating claims of collusion between his campaign aides during his 2016 presidential race and Russian officials, slamming the FBI and Justice Dept. for “leaking, lying and corruption at the highest levels of the FBI, Justice & State.”
In tweets on Saturday, Trump addressed the announcement on Monday the House Intelligence Committee was shutting down its investigation into the matter.
He also took a jab at revelations that have come about regarding government officials who had sought to undermine both his run for office and his ability to serve effectively as president.
“As the House Intelligence Committee has concluded, there was no collusion between Russia and the Trump Campaign. As many are now finding out, however, there was tremendous leaking, lying and corruption at the highest levels of the FBI, Justice & State. #DrainTheSwamp,” Trump tweeted Saturday.
