In a rally Tuesday night, GOP nominee Donald Trump slammed Hillary Clinton on immigration policy, telling supporters that Clinton is in support of a ‘massive amnesty’ and a ‘totally open border’.

“Hillary Clinton wants a totally open border. She wants catch and release. She wants Obamacare and other things for illegal immigrants. In many cases, more than our great veterans get,” Trump said during the appearance in Austin, Texas.

“She has said she’s going to give massive amnesty in her first 100 days. She wants to gut immigration enforcement. The immigration people do such a great job, but they have no leadership at the top.” Trump added.

Trump also stated that Hillary plans to flout the law by allowing immigrants to overstay visas without being deported.

He described Clinton’s policy on immigration as “One lawless order after another.”

Trump also knocked Clinton for supporting sanctuary cities, gesturing to the crowd with a throat cutting motion.

“We must not let that happen. We are going to vote for President Donald Trump and we’re going to stop it,” Trump declared to a thunderous ovation.

Trump’s comments came amid speculation that he is softening on his own immigration policy.

Previous promises for a ‘deportation force’ have been walked back somewhat by the Trump campaign, with campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, saying it is “to be determined” how such a force will operate.

In an interview with CBS, Trump’s running mate Mike Pence added that the plans for a border wall and a deportation squad ‘continue to be worked out’.

We’re going to enforce the laws that are on the books today,” Pence said, adding that
“the mechanism for how we do that — he’s also been very clear that we’ll do it in a humane way.”

Appearing with Sean Hannity on a pre-taped town hall interview, Trump stated that he is considering “softening” on immigration laws, because he is “not looking to hurt people.”

“We want people — we have some great people in this country,” Trump said, adding “We are going to follow the laws of this country.”

Trump said he would make a decision soon on the issue of mass deportations, then he polled the audience on the subject.

“So you have somebody who’s been in the country for 20 years. Has done a great job, job and everything else and okay. Do we take him and the family, and her and him or whatever and send them out?” Trump asked.

“Do we tell these people to get out, number one, or do we work with them? … I’m just curious.” he added.

“By the way, no amnesty, no citizenship. This is like the poll … this is sort of like a poll, and this is what I’m getting all over the country.” the GOP nominee continued.

“They want toughness, they want firmness, they want to obey the law,” Trump said.

“But, but, they feel that throwing them out as a whole family where they’ve been here for a long time, it’s a tough thing. They do feel that.” he stated.

Trump then assured the crowd that those seeking to do harm or break the law would be rooted out.

“The bad guys are out of here. Now that one, we know,” he said, adding “They’re going to be out of here even faster than you could throw them out. They’re going to be out.”
