Great rhetorical speech by Donald Trump in going for the jugular of Vampira Hilary. Trump’s militant “America First” nationalism and protectionism seem to be tempered with a call for prudential diplomacy (and abstention from knee-jerk interventionism characterized by Clinton) and total rejection of business-as-usual corrupt corporatism. He definitely has mastered the dramatic appeal to populist sentiments and feelings of rage, resentment, alienation, and betrayal by establishment elites (personified by the amoral Hilary) shared by so many Americans. I still think this article (originally published inNational Journal) remains the best in capturing his appeal to an ever growing segment of the people.
