GOP nominee Donald Trump once again repeated a warning that the upcoming election is being “rigged”. Trump leveled the accusation at the corporate media, and also suggested voter fraud would be a leveling factor in favor of Hillary Clinton on election day.

“The election is absolutely being rigged by the dishonest and distorted media pushing Crooked Hillary – but also at many polling places – SAD” Trump tweeted out Sunday evening after a number of his surrogates also warned of voter fraud during media interviews.

Trump also tweeted “Election is being rigged by the media, in a coordinated effort with the Clinton campaign, by putting stories that never happened into news!”

In an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Sunday, Trump’s running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, said “the American people are tired of the obvious bias in the national media. That’s where this sense of a rigged election goes here.”

Pence added that the media is prioritizing negative stories about Trump rather than covering “the real hard evidence” against Clinton, alluding to the Wikileaks emails and the numerous scandals Clinton has been associated with.

“It’s why people are frustrated,” Pence said, adding “But between now and Election Day, we’re going to work our hearts out against all odds, against most of you in the national media.”

Pence also said that the Trump campaign would accept the outcome of the election.

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich also warned of the rigging of the election, in an interview with ABC’s “This Week.”

“Without the unending, one-sided assault of the news media, Trump would be beating [Democratic nominee] Hillary Clinton by 15 points,” Gingrich declared.

“So to suggest to us that people who are concerned about honest elections are somehow nutty, I think is a mistake.” he added.

“I remember when Richard Nixon had the election stolen in 1960, and no serious historian doubts that Illinois and Texas were stolen,” Gingrich said.

“So to suggest that, we have, you don’t have theft in Philadelphia is to deny reality.” he added.

Hillary’s running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine, told the same show that Trump’s accusations of rigging constitute “scorched-Earth claims” and “scare tactics”.

“He is swinging at every phantom of his own imagination because he knows he’s losing,” Kaine said.

Trump also tweeted out a swipe at a Saturday Night Live sketch as a further example of the media “rigging” the election:

The sketch was a send up of the second debate between Trump and Clinton, which it is widely accepted that Trump won.

Trump has consistently warned of election rigging. Last week he gave a keynote speech slamming the mainstream media for being in bed with Hillary Clinton’s campaign, saying that they are “no longer involved in journalism”:

“The e-mails show the Clinton regime is so closely and irrevocably tied to the media organizations that she, listen to this, she is given the questions and answers in advance of her debate performance with Bernie Sanders. Hillary Clinton York Times.” Trump noted, referring to the latest revelations from the Wikileaks dump of Hillary aide John Podesta’s emails.

“They definitely do not do that for me. I can tell you.” Trump continued, adding “The e-mails show the reporters collaborate and conspire directly with the Clinton campaign on helping her win the election all over.”

“It’s one of the great political phenomenons. The most powerful weapon deployed by the Clintons is the corporate media, the press.” Trump noted.

The Wikileaks revelations have outed collusion between The New York Times and Hillary. The emails reveal that Hillary is warned before the newspaper runs any story that could be negative toward her, and she has a chance to veto anything she likes.

In addition, An email sent by Hillary’s Traveling Press Secretary Nick Merrill outlines how Maggie Haberman, a writer for Politico and the New York Times, helps “tee up” stories that are beneficial to Hillary Clinton.

Despite these revelations, Times reporters have suggested there are “no smoking guns”among the email leaks… as they obviously would.

“Let’s be clear on one thing, the corporate media in our country is no longer involved in journalism. They are political special interest no different than any lobbyist or other financial entity with a total political agenda and the agenda is not for you, it’s for themselves.” Trump urged.

“Their agenda is to elect crooked Hillary Clinton at any cost, at any price, no matter how many lives they destroy. For them, it’s a war and for them, nothing at all is out of bounds. This is a struggle for the survival of our nation. Believe me.” he concluded.
