A fresh talking point is currently being built up that Donald Trump will be to blame for the next terrorist attack on American soil, because, although he is yet to take office as president, he has stated that he does not require constant intelligence updates re-hashing the same content.

The latest to float this very notion is Trump hater ‘activist’ Michael Moore, who tweeted out this morning a link to a piece he wrote entitled “Donald Trump Is Gonna Get Us Killed”:

In the article, Moore writes:

…And no one will remember that he wasn’t paying attention to the growing threat. Wasn’t attending the daily national security briefings. Was playing golf instead or meeting with celebrities or staying up til 3am tweeting about how unfair CNN is. He said he didn’t need to be briefed. “You know, I think I’m smart. I don’t need to hear the same thing over and over each day for eight years.” That’s what he told Fox News on December 11th when asked why he wasn’t attending the security briefings. Don’t forget that date and his hubris as we bury the dead next year…

Hmmm, cos the current president doesn’t golf a lot right? Nor does he meet with celebrities. Oh no wait, my bad… he actually meets with celebrities to play golf… sometimes in the White House:

Moore is obviously also referring to Trump’s highly publicised meeting meeting with rapper Kanye West this week at Trump tower. It only lasted half an hour, and Trump isn’t the president yet. Obviously no sitting president should devote time to meeting with such pop culture faces… oh wait:

But hang on a minute, isn’t there a rampaging terrorist group massively stocking up and manufacturing weapons, readying to attack the free world?

Whatever… just blame Trump.

That’s what former CIA head Leon Panetta said on Wednesday, telling reporters that Trump skipping intelligence briefings will mean he may be blamed if and when the US is attacked again.

“I’ve seen presidents who have asked questions about whether that intelligence is verifiable, what are the sources for that intelligence, but I have never seen a president who said, ‘I don’t want that stuff,'” Panetta said.

It’s unprecedented right? No president would skip briefings or willfully ignore intelligence on terrorist groups… oh wait…

Former DIA head Michael Flynn revealed this time last year that Obama routinely turned a deaf ear to updates and reports on the rise of ISIS because they didn’t fit with the narrative the administration was feeding the American public.

Flynn’s analysis dovetailed with the claims of inside sources who said that Obama routinely refused to read intelligence reports on groups “he does not consider terrorists,” despite them being on a U.S. list of designated terrorists.

In addition,  over 50 CENTCOM intelligence operatives have said they were given “implied orders” not to report facts on the ground in Iraq regarding terrorist activity. Instead, they were encouraged to substitute economic or environmental information for terror related intelligence because it did not fit with the Obama administration’s political narrative.

Whatever, just blame Trump for all future attacks – exactly as Obama is doing.
