Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump hit out once more at his likely Democratic Presidential rival Hillary Clinton, saying that she is pressuring the media to report on a “false narrative” regarding his tax proposals.
“Why does the media, with a strong push from Crooked Hillary, keep pushing the false narrative that I want to raise taxes. Exactly opposite!” Trump tweeted.

The accusation comes after Trump intimated in interviews over the weekend that he plans to raise taxes for wealthy Americans.
However, he stated Monday that the wealthy would still be subject to a lower tax rate than they are currently, but that it would be higher than 25 percent.
“If I increase it on the wealthy, they’re still going to pay less than they pay now,” Trump said in a CNN interview Monday, adding “I’m not talking about increasing from this point. I’m talking about increasing from my tax proposal.”
I am lowering taxes far more than any other candidate. Any negotiated increase by Congress to my proposal would still be lower than current!

Hillary’s attack dogs were tasked with bashing Trump’s tax policy Monday, putting out the talking point that it will only benefit the most wealthy Americans, a charge Clinton has consistently leveled at Trump.
“This is the most risky, reckless and regressive tax proposal ever put forward by any major presidential candidate,” Gene Sperling, the former director of the National Economic Council, told reporters on a conference call, which included top Clinton policy adviser Jake Sullivan.
Trump also lashed out at the Clinton campaign for suggesting that during the primaries Hillary received millions more votes than Trump.
Crooked Hillary Clinton says that she got more primary votes than Donald Trump. But I had 17 people to beat—she had one!

The billionaire candidate noted that she was only competing against one other person, while he was up against 17 people.
If I only had 1 person running against me in the primaries like Hillary Clinton, I would have gotten 10 million more votes than she did!

Trump also noted that when all is said and done, he will still set a record for the number of votes in a GOP primary, despite being up against multiple candidates.
I will have set the all time record in primary votes in the Republican party –despite having to compete against 17 other people!

The Clinton campaign is set to ramp up attacks on Trump with a prominent Pro-Clinton Super-PAC confirming that it will spend close to $100 million on a barrage of ads in the coming weeks.
Guy Cecil, the head of Priorities USA, said that the ads will not consist of personal attacks on Trump, because “The way to beat Donald Trump is not to become him, is not to get in the mud constantly.”
