A suspect who was in the custody of the Broward Sheriff’s Office died Monday morning after he was Tasered following a domestic dispute in Oakland Park, police said.

The BSO confirmed they are investigating the death of 31-year-old James Doe, which happened around 2 a.m. at the Lake Pointe Condos in the 200 block of Lake Pointe Drive.

Deputies were responding to a domestic violence call at the complex after Doe reportedly kicked in his girlfriend’s door and got inside her apartment, BSO spokeswoman Dani Moschella said.
