In a shocking twist, CNN actually reported on what it called President Trump’s “respectful handling” of the sexual assault allegation against his Supreme Court nominee.

It’s shocking because CNN, which is no fan of Trump, actually reported on something that paints the president in a good light.

“Trump’s more tactful approach earned him kudos from those around him, serving to reinforce his position,” CNN’s Kaitlan Collins stated. “Ivanka Trump has also highlighted the positive response the President has received for his measured reaction.”

The article revolves around White House aides bracing for the president’s then-upcoming response to the accusation by Christine Blasey Ford against Brett Kavanaugh near the end of his confirmation hearing.

CNN reported:

“Why would I attack her?” Trump asked, according to two sources with knowledge of his remarks.

Rather than lashing out in anger or defensiveness, Trump said Monday he’d like to “see a complete process.”

“I’d like everybody to be very happy. Most importantly, I want the American people to be happy, because they’re getting somebody that is great,” he said.

CNN’s sudden shift may suggest the mainstream media is slowing moving away from the story after numerous recent developments.

Several Democratic Senators, including Sen. Feinstein (D-Calif.) who brought the accusation to light, have already given themselves breathing room.

In fact, Ed Whelan, the president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, even made the bold prediction that by next week “Judge Kavanaugh will have been clearly vindicated on this matter. Specifically, I expect that compelling evidence will show his categorical denial to be truthful. There will be no cloud over him.”

Whelan was once a law clerk for the late Justice Antonin Scalia.
