Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke weighed in on the assault of a Boston police officer who was shot on Friday, pointing to the real culprits who have been stoking the flames of racial tension and police hatred in America.

“The War on Police continues unabated. Obama, Holder, de Blasio gave it license,” Sheriff Clarke said in a Tweet yesterday.

On Friday Boston Police officer John Moynihan was shot at point blank range as he took part in a shootout in the suburb of Roxbury.

Moynihan’s was the latest in a string of police shootings that have seemingly increased in frequency since “social justice activists” were stirred into taking up the cause of promoting violence towards cops.

President Obama played his role by inserting himself in heated and controversial racial conversations, at one time asserting that teen Trayvon Martin, who was gunned down after an altercation with neighborhood watch coordinator George Zimmerman, could have been his son.

Attorney General Eric Holder, who feels it necessary to highlight the fact that he is black, has used the Justice Department to further probe racial motives behind cases like the Trayvon controversy and the police shooting of Ferguson teen Michael Brown.

The justice department was notably more silent when black mother Miriam Carey was gunned down in the District of Columbia after she led US Secret Service officers and DC police on a car chase.

In the past, Sheriff Clarke has given Obama credit for his “divide and conquer strategy,” which he has labeled “destructive for America.”

“He built that, and he being the President of the United States,” Sheriff Clarke told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly last December. “Remember that statement, ‘You didn’t build that?’ Well, he built this racial divide. It was a wound that had been healing for a number of years, a number of decades I should say. And he reopened it with his divisive politics.”

**Update: An earlier version of this article stated that Officer Moynihan had suffered lethal injuries. The article has been updated to reflect he’s merely in critical condition.
