Fired from CNN soapbox, Redcoat still hasn’t got the message

Despite the fact that he was fired by CNN for consistently preaching about gun control and often skipping over actual facts on the matter, Piers Morgan continues to offer himself up as a punch bag, taking to Twitter to spew more unbelievable ignorance.
In the wake of yesterday’s shooting at Fort Hood, Morgan was completely owned by those who chose to respond to his stupidity.
Unable to keep quiet even when no one is listening, Morgan knocked out his first arrogant and intellectually devoid tweet in the wee hours:
'If only there'd been a good guy with a gun…' – such crap. This #FortHood soldier/shooter WAS a good guy. Until he turned bad, with a gun.

Townhall writer Katie Pavlich was on hand with a three pronged retaliation to point out just how completely detached from reality and hypocritical Morgan is:
Oh Piers, you realize the perpetrator killed himself when a woman with a gun confronted him, right? @piersmorgan
— Katie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) April 3, 2014
Also, didn't you say in your final show that only military should have guns? How do you square that @piersmorgan?
— Katie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) April 3, 2014
Should we stop giving soldiers guns? Oh wait, already did that. Result? mass shootings in gun free, defenseless military bases @piersmorgan
— Katie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) April 3, 2014
Clearly on the ropes and floundering about for any form of defense he could muster, Morgan switched the focus of the back and forth to gun registration:
They should, but legally/registered > RT @LillyandPhilly @piersmorgan so the military shouldn't be allowed guns?
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) April 3, 2014
But Pavlich and others had something in their armory that Morgan is sorely lacking – facts…
@piersmorgan At Fort Hood, you have to register your weapon on base. The perpetrator did not….soooo that would not solve the problem.
— Ryan O'Hara (@RyanPrakOHara) April 3, 2014
Hey guess what? Soldiers are required to register their guns at Ft. Hood. Not shockingly, the perpetrator didn't register his @piersmorgan
— Katie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) April 3, 2014
@piersmorgan That is already the gun policy at Ft. Hood. pic.twitter.com/H5yTwHkRyw

Morgan ignored that slice of face pie and continued to invite Pavlich to hand his own ass to him…
Mass shootings will only drop in America when the availability of guns is dramatically reduced & mental health issues tackled properly.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) April 3, 2014
Um, they have dropped. Down by half since 1992. Facts, @piersmorgan
— Katie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) April 3, 2014
Confused by knowledge, Morgan went back to basics, calling once again on his pure ignorance…
How many mass shootings have happened without a gun? #TheGunIsTheProblem
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) April 3, 2014
It was all too easy for Pavlich…
How many mass stabbings have happened with a knife? Hint: a bunch. It's the person not the object. @piersmorgan
— Katie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) April 3, 2014
Verbally beaten down into a gibbering wordy mess, Morgan just admitted he wanted all Americans to give up their guns…
Yes. > RT @TheJhusty @piersmorgan And what are we supposed to do about it? Give up our guns?
