Ohio State University Professor Dan Tokaji claims that Donald Trump’s concerns over the presidential election being rigged could lead to violent civil unrest.

Earlier this week, Trump sounded the alarm bell when he told an audience in Ohio, “I’m afraid the election is going to be rigged, I have to be honest,” making reference to how Bernie Sanders lost because his primary race against Clinton was also rigged.

According to Tokaji, who teaches election law, the mere fact that Trump is highlighting the potential for vote fraud is dangerous.

“I also think there are real worries about an invitation to violence or other kinds of mob action,” he told AFP, adding that previous presidential candidates have been gracious in defeat but that, “Donald Trump is already intimating he will not be similarly gracious should he lose.”

The article asserts that Trump’s rhetoric could lead to people rejecting Hillary Clinton’s victory, “sparking .civil unrest.”

It’s strange that leftists weren’t so worried about “civil unrest” when they insisted that George W. Bush stole the election from Al Gore back in 2000.

Indeed, the narrative that Trump merely drawing attention to widespread concerns about vote fraud that crop up during every election cycle is part of a dark plot designed to stoke domestic disorder is the left’s current favorite conspiracy theory, with Salon.com again invoking it today.

Despite Wired Magazine documenting how “America’s electronic voting machines are scarily easy targets,” leftists somehow think Trump has pulled the issue out of thin air.

What’s particularly ironic is that numerous leftists have themselves suggested that civil unrest would necessary if Trump wins the presidency fair and square.

Both the L.A. Times and the Washington Post have published articles in the last two weeks implying that a coup d’état to overthrow a President Trump would be legitimate and morally sound.
