As citizens, prosecutors, police, legislators and educators continue to try to understand the implications of Act 746, a pro-gun group that believes the law allows for the open carry of a firearm in Arkansas will put its feet where its politics are in Mountain Home.

In a first-ever event of its kind in the Twin Lakes Area, members of Arkansas Carry will openly display pistols during a 10:30 a.m. “Celebration Walk” along a U.S. 62 Business route from the old Walmart to the downtown Mountain Home square.

The group will not see mass arrests based solely on openly carrying pistols, according to Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel.
