Phoenix police have arrested a fellow officer on charges of sexual assault and kidnapping.

Sgt. Jonathan Howard tells Fox 10 that a 23-year-old woman contacted police Friday morning to report that she had engaged in sexual contact with Officer Timothy Morris, 40.

The woman told police that Morris had contacted her around 3:30 a.m. Friday in the area of 5600 W. Thomas Road regarding a misdemeanor arrest warrant.

Following the sexual contact, the officer released the woman without arrest, Howard said.
