House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said she didn’t fully understand why Republican lawmakers have repeatedly harped on the attack in Benghazi.

“Benghazi is such a very sad event, more than an event — a tragedy. Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, Tyrone Woods, we carry their names in our hearts, pray for their families. And for the exploitation of it to just be never-ending by the Republicans is really hard to understand,” she said on MSNBC’s “Up With Steve Kornacki” in an interview that aired Sunday.

Pelosi also said that she was unaware of House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-OH) plans to establish a select committee to investigate Benghazi, if he has any.
