Tax payments since recreational marijuana started being taxed in Oregon has totaled $54.5 million as of November 30.

The amount is higher than the original projection, by the Oregon Liquor Control Commission, of $18.4 million in revenue for the first two years of recreational marijuana taxation in Oregon, which began in July 2015.

The Oregon Department of Revenue has also added a new page to its website, dedicated to marijuana tax statistics.

The page features a report on the taxable marijuana sales in Oregon, including the dollar value of total product sales and tax liabilities by geographic region.
