Fake signs are popping up around the metro area that advertise a fake Tea Party rally on tax day. The Albuquerque Tea Party doesn’t know who is putting up the signs and trying to ruin the real rally the group is holding.
If you follow the information on one of those fake signs, you’ll end up at the IRS building on San Mateo and Montgomery. But the official Tea Party rally is on Menaul, between San Pedro and Wyoming.
The Albuquerque Tea Party says it’s not responsible for these signs and not affiliated with anyone posting them around town. Morlan says any official signs for a Tea Party event has the official Tea Party logo — which says ATP Let Freedom Ring.
