So, President Obama went to a mosque today to give a speech on our “negative stereotypes” of Muslims. Of course, the main culprit according to our President? The media and movies. And those of use who watch said media and said movies. If you ever watched a movie where an Islamic terrorist was the villain… you are guilty. Shame. SHAME.
Not to blame for this supposed targeting of Muslims? The killings. Or the bombings. Nor the beheadings. Stop it. If Obama doesn’t even think it’s a threat then neither should you. He knows best. You’re an idiot. Probably a racist, too.
The Muslim community in America remains relatively small. Just several million people in this country, and as a result most American’s don’t know or at least know that they know a Muslim personally. And as a result most people only here about Muslims and Islam from the news after an act of terrorism, or in distorted media portrayals in TV and film, all of which gives this hugely distorted impression. And since 9/11, or more recently because of the attacks in Paris and San Bernardo, you’ve seen too often people conflating the horrific acts of terrorism with the beliefs of an entire faith.
You forgot Germany and Sweden, and the fact that in both instances it was covered up because people didn’t want to hurt the feelings of the people who committed the sexual assaults. Or, the people who look like the people who committed sexual assaults. Or the people who have similar sounding names as those who committed the sexual assaults. The feelings of those actually sexually assaulted? Not so much. They’re second class citizens. Probably had it coming, too, what with their not wearing the hijabs (read Real Rape Culture: Guess Who Cologne Imam Blames for Sexual Assaults?). What’d they expect? To wear non-Muslim attire and not get raped?!
Notice who Obama never talks to when it comes to being targeted for hatred? Christians and Jews. The other monotheistic religions. I cannot recall Obama visiting the Oregon bakers who lost their business when two lesbians demanded “damages” for the bakery not baking their gay wedding cake. I also cannot recall Obama visiting a Catholic Church, or even a Protestant church, to talk about how they’ve been targeted for hate for opposing abortion or gay marriage. I also cannot recall Obama visiting a synagogue, to discuss how Jews are disproportionately targeted for hate crimes simply because they’re Jewish (which according to the FBI, accounts for 60 percent of religious hate crimes, compared to 13 % of Muslim hate crime). I cannot recall Obama lecturing Hollywood for making Christians appear as backwards, hayseed hicks, intolerant of anyone who isn’t Christian.
But hey, I’m a racist, so what do I know?
Obama prefers Islam to all other “victim” groups. We could talk about how Islam treats women poorly, or how Islam treats the gays (hint, by killing them), both groups the leftists have displayed on their victim mantle. But Islam gets the top podium. Why? Well perhaps because Islam is diametrically opposed to liberty, freedom and all other concepts outlined in our Constitution. Islam is more than a religion, it’s a political system. It cannot coexist with freedom. Obama, a wannabe dictator who’s barely in the closet, naturally sympathizes with an ideology which openly hates America.
Before you spin the #NotAllMuslims thing, of course, not all Muslims are terrorists. But even “moderate” Islam is pretty crappy. Watch the video below:
