President Obama decried the practice of organ harvesting Monday while speaking at the Young African Leaders Initiative summit in Washington D.C.

During the summit’s question and answer segment, a young Kenyan woman asked President Obama to address the epidemic of ritualistic albino organ harvesting.

“Persons with albinism in Africa are being killed and their body parts harvested for ritual purposes,” the woman said. “My request to you is to raise this issue with heads of state of African countries to bring these atrocities to an end.”

In response, President Obama called the tradition “foolish,” stating that he had no “patience” for such discrimination.

“When I was in Africa, I said, there are important traditions and folkways that need to be respected that’s part of who each culture is, each country is, but there’s also foolish traditions and old ways of doing business,” Obama said. “The notion that any African would discriminate against somebody because of the color of their skin, after what black people around the world have gone through, is crazy.”

“It is infuriating and I have no patience for it.”

Ironically, recently published undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood employees discussing the harvesting of both entire intact fetuses and individual body parts have received zero condemnation from the Obama administration.

“I think Planned Parenthood has been quite specific about the policies and procedures that they have in place, and I know they have described those policies and procedures as living up to the highest ethical standards,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said this week.

In response to the shocking videos, which show graphic footage of harvested fetal remains, Democrats and the Obama administration alike have accused pro-life advocates of losing their “moral compass” and attacking women’s rights.

“It’s our responsibility in the Senate to assure that American women have access to care,” Minority Leader Harry Reid said. “It’s our obligation to protect our wives, our sisters, our daughters, our granddaughters — protect them from the absurd policies of a Republican Party that’s lost its moral compass.”

A federal judge appointed by President Obama granted a temporary restraining order against the release of further videos made at a specific abortion provider meeting Friday in an attempt to conceal Planned Parenthood’s practices.
