	Cops watch Bingo grandmothers and Tea Party demonstrators in Illinois.

Earlier this week we reported on riot police storm troopers dispatched in Quincy, Illinois, in response to a Tea Party demonstration outside an Obama event. The Secret Service told black-clad riot cops to “push the crowd back as far as you can, out of sight” outside the the Oakley-Lindsey/Quincy Community Center.

“The Tea Partiers were walking down York after the president’s motorcade arrived when a Secret Service agent asked the crowd to move back to the north side of the street,” QuincyNews reports today. “As the crowd was moving back, the Mobile Field Force, adorned in full body armor, walked between the crowd and the building, then they turned and faced the protesters.”

“SWAT was there because it looked like the ladies were going to break out in a BINGO game,” remarks First Things blog with appropriate sarcasm.

The Herald-Whig reported on April 28:

There were a few tense moments when the crowd moved west down York toward Third Street after the president’s motorcade arrived. A Secret Service agent asked the crowd to move back across the street to the north side.

When the crowd didn’t move and began singing “God Bless, America” and the national anthem, Quincy Deputy Police Chief Ron Dreyer called for members of the Mobile Field Force to walk up the street.

The officers, mainly from Metro East departments near St. Louis and dressed in full body armor, marched from the east and stood on the south side of York facing the protesters.

There was no physical contact, and the officers did not come close to the crowd, but there were catcalls and more than a few upset tea party members, including a woman who shouted, “This is communism!”

New video posted on the web reveals additional police state tactics in response to the Tea Party protest. Cops in military green uniforms with binoculars were positioned on the roof of the community center and a cop outfitted in a military uniform watched the dangerous Tea Party terrorist from the roof of a black SUV.

On April 29, Infowars and Prison Planet reported on a military exercise in Kentucky designed to take on the Tea Party movement. Intel advisories characterized terrorist threat adversaries as “Local Militia Groups / Anti-Government Protesters / TEA Party” and described Tea Party supporters as drunken bomb-throwers.

The police and Secret Service presence at the event in Illinois is another indication that the government considers the Tea Party — including little old ladies — a threat that requires the heavy presence of cops outfitted in storm trooper and military uniforms.
