MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell again blamed former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani for the deaths of firefighters during the September 11 attacks on New York. At one point on his show last night, O’Donnell called Giluiani an “unwitting accomplice of al-Qaeda’s” because the firefighters had defective radios.

O’Donnell’s critique — which is based largely on Rudy Giuliani: Urban Legend, a video that blames Giuliani for the first-responder deaths – is a repeat of a case he made against the former mayor in 2011. The host’s decision to revisit the topic seems to have been sparked by Giuliani’s criticism of the president’s national-security policies from the night before. O’Donnell tweeted the following before last night’s show:

[Editor’s note: It’s sad to see this type of bickering as more continue to fall ill or die due to 9/11-related causes, while still no one in mainstream media acknowledges that several key members of the U.S. government obviously possessed prior knowledge of the so-called attack, or acknowledge the fact that Building 7, a 49-story steel reinforced structure, could not possibly have fallen solely due to fire, as reported.]
