While even CNN praised President Trump for initiating de-nuclearization talks with North Korea, MSNBC’s Morning Joe panel just couldn’t bring themselves to accept that Trump might be making the world a better place. Instead they insisted that the entire situation has been orchestrated in order to distract from the allegations of an affair with a porn star.
Trump was invited to meet Kim Jong Un via diplomatic ties between North and South Korea, namely South Korean national security adviser Chung Eui-yong.

Trump accepted the invitation, prompting South Korean President Moon Jae-in to declare a forthcoming summit as “historic”.
Not so much for MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, however:
“Is this a deflection … from Stormy?” Brzezinski asked.
“Of course it’s a deflection,” Scarborough said.
The panel then debated what the meeting could entail before Scarborough again suggested it was just fake news.
“Or again, a distraction to change the headlines from Stormy Daniels, which was yesterday, to North Korea today,” Scarborough said.
“That’s exactly what it is,” Brzezinski chimed in.
Scarborough then suggested that Trump is making diplomatic decisions based on the need to distract from his personal life.
“He makes a decision on North Korea because of Stormy Daniels, and people can deny that all they want, but if you’re doing that, you’re in the tank for Donald Trump, because it is painfully obvious that’s exactly what’s going on,” Scarborough said.
“This is his pattern,” Brzezinski added.
“The president was desperate to change the headlines, he has succeeded,” Scarborough said.
“This is the king of deflection, and he was very disturbed yesterday,” Brzezinski said. “And he does’t want his family seeing the porn star on the front pages of the papers. It causes deep distress to him to have details of that being revealed by his press secretary, and it it seems that this was his point: to deflect.”
Elsewhere during the broadcast, Former Obama administration official Steve Rattner suggested that the only reason North Korea is seeking to talk is because Trump is “our own madman” who could “blow up the world.”
