Fox News and NBC have declared Clintonista operative and former DNC boss Terry McAuliffe the winner of the Virginia governor’s race.

Democrats are jumping up and down and declaring the defeat of contender Ken Cuccinelli on Tuesday signals trouble for the tea party.
Virginia relies heavily on federal paychecks and contracts, so the defeat of small government advocate Ken Cuccinelli comes as no surprise.
Most of McAuliffe’s campaign money came from out of state, according to the nonpartisan National Institute on Money In State Politics, in Helena, Montana. The infusion of out-of-state money – the highest percentage for any gubernatorial race – demonstrates how critical Democrats considered the governorship win in Virginia.
Slate reports this evening that McAuliffe left his victory party early in order to campaign for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
