Hillary is turning out to be an unmitigated disaster for the Democrats. They appear ready to groom another candidate.

That replacement may be Howard Schultz, the CEO of Starbucks.

On Saturday Maureen Dowd, The New York Times columnist, mentioned the possibility of a Schultz candidacy.

“Potent friends of America’s lord of latte, Howard Schultz, have been pressing him to join the Democratic primary, thinking the time is right for someone who’s not a political lifer. For the passionate 62-year-old — watching the circus from Seattle — it may be a tempting proposition,” writes Dowd.

Schultz has called for “authentic, truthful leadership” in Washington, but a glance at his political views reveal he would, if elected by a long shot, represent more of the same.

Starbucks has lately served as a platform for Mr. Schultz’s political views. Earlier this year he floated a “Race Together” initiative at his baristas countrywide to get customers talking about the Democrat race agenda. The effort backfired so stupendously the company temporarily suspended its Twitter account after it piled up vociferous complaints.

In 2013 the company told open carry gun owners their business was not welcome. In an open letter, Schultz said the debate surrounding the Second Amendment had “become increasingly uncivil and, in some cases, even threatening” and decided to disallow legal firearms in his stores.

Earlier this year a Starbucks employee wrote to Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr. providing details on the leftist agenda mingled with the corporate culture of Schultz and Starbucks. The anonymous friend said Ferguson and the race agenda does not represent “the sort of situation a sane company would want to make a staple of their day.”

“This isn’t anything new to Starbucks. The blatant and insulting Progressive overtones that get sent to the store front and the media are light compared to what happens internally,” he said.

All-Inclusive staff meetings with lower pay grade employees typically revolve around the latest in State propaganda. Their major plank has been Global Warming/Cooling/Simmering/Basting or whatever it’s called today, and climate “sensitivity” (Yes, especially when it comes to water.) and how we as “Responsible Corporate Citizens” need to minimize the waste that leaves a “giant footprint” in our communities and, wait for it, “Mother Earth”. If anyone ever doubted that Al Gore founded a religion, let’s allow this to clear that up. Individuals that seemed disinterested, perplexed, or annoyed were asked in a softly threatening manner if they would like to leave. The only time I saw this reversed was when an incredible majority (qt least 80%) didn’t react positively to a strongly worded suggestion that “We all get vaccinated”. Employees who smoke became a subject of said meetings. Though you won’t get called out directly, be prepared to be collectively skewered for daring to make personal choices.

Employees experience the legendary double standard now typical of Democrats and so-called progressives. “While it was legitimate to have pro-leftist slogans and images on your clothing and vehicle, it was heresy to have anything pro-gun,” he writes. Although the company did not explicitly disallow anything, it “just made it very uncomfortable to be pro-gun.”

While Schultz claims sincere change is required in Washington, he is apparently clueless to the in-your-face reality the problem arises from the state itself, not the quibbling between politicos. (Schultz is distressed by a lack of partisanship and resistance to the liberal agenda.)

“Criticisms of the State were also discouraged,” the anonymous Starbucks employee writes. “Older employees say it didn’t really start until the current master got voted in, and it’s pretty sad to watch grown adults feel like they have to discuss objections to the State in hushed tones in less-frequented corners.”

If establishment Democrats are going to prevent the Republicans from capturing the White House, they will have to jettison Hillary and blunt the move to adopt Bernie Sanders, who addresses sincere issues with the standard and stale socialist bromides.

Howard Schultz appears to be squeaky clean and represents the sort ideologically conscious businessman acceptable to a base that distrusts and even hates the private sector.

Presidents, of course, are little more than carnival barkers standing up for the elite and their political class. The improbability of a Schultz administration is merely a desperate attempt by establishment Democrats to fend off a Republican victory. Both establishment parties will naturally continue the corporatist and bankster charade in Washington in January, 2017.
