British media has its collective knickers in a bunch, after LeBron James dared to put his arm around Kate Middleton during a photo op Monday, after the royals watched James’ Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

Apparently, James broke royal protocol, according to Britain’s The Telegraph newspaper, which pointed out a similar breach in 2009 when First Lady Michelle Obama got huggy with Queen Elizabeth during a G-20 summit reception in the United Kingdom.
