[efoods]A security breach at John F. Kennedy Airport has forced an evacuation of an American Airlines terminal and all passengers in the area have to exit and be re-screened, the Port Authority confirmed.

A person went into a secure area without being properly screened at about 4 p.m., said Steve Coleman, a spokesman for the Port Authority. All travelers in Terminal 8 were forced to leave the area and be re-screened, according to Coleman.

The spokesman said no flights will be departing or landing until the Transportation Security Administration and the Port Authority complete their investigation.
