Hillary Clinton said she exclusively used a private e-mail account for official State Dept. business out of “convenience.”

In remarks before the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women on Tuesday, the former Secretary of State said her use of a private e-mail account was “allowed” by the State Dept. and she thought it’d be more “convenient” because it was easier for her to carry one PDA device “for her work and personal e-mail” instead of two.
“I thought using one device would be simpler and obviously it hasn’t worked out that way,” she said.
She also claimed that no government-related e-mails were deleted from her private server.
“…In fact, my direction to conduct the throughout investigation was to err on the side of providing anything that could be possibly viewed as work-related,” she said. “That doesn’t mean they will be by the State Dept. once the State Dept. goes through them, but out of an abundance of caution and care, we wanted to send that message unequivocally.”
“That is the responsibility of the individual and I have fulfilled that responsibility and I have no doubt we have done exactly what we should have done when the search was conducted.”
She also added that the e-mail server was created during the Clinton presidency.
“I think that the use of that server which started with my husband certainly proved to be effective and secure,” she stated, strangely enough.
