Some of the emails from the Clinton campaign that were recently released by the group, DCLeaks, show how Harvey Weinstein, a big wig Hollywood moviemaker, has been involved in politics, specifically trying to help his pal Clinton get elected. He actually told her campaign manager, Robby Mook, to silence a message from Bernie Sanders.
Just a few months ago, when Sanders was still in the race, Weinstein watched a commercial for Bernie that featured Erica Garner, the daughter of Eric Garner, who was killed by the NYPD. I guess Weinstein must have thought it was an effective commercial, because after watching it he emailed the Clinton campaign and said, “I’m probably telling you what you know already, but that needs to be silenced.” The Resident breaks it down.
