A downtown Atlanta building is being evacuated after a grenade was found on Tuesday, FOX 5 has learned. People were seen filing out of the Peachtree Summit Federal Building on West Peachtree Street just after noon.
An official for the Atlanta Police Department told FOX 5 that the building is being evacuated due to a grenade that was found. Homeland Security is at the scene assisting in the investigation.
Hundreds of people who were inside the 31-story building were seen gathered in nearby parking lots as the situation unfolded.
