A female drummer who played for Beyoncé for seven years filed a restraining order with police in which she insists the famous singer-songwriter who is married to Jay-Z practices “extreme witchcraft” and is even responsible for the “murder” of her “pet kitten,” according to documents obtained by The Blast.
Drummer Kimberly Thompson alleges Beyoncé is to blame for her “extreme exhaustion” and also says the diva has taken “intellectual properties,” but that’s only the half of it.
“Extreme exhaustion, magic spells of sexual molestation, loss of man, jobs, theft of homes… theft of computer hard drives, and extreme theft of intellectual properties, the murder of my pet kitten, magic spells on my lovers [and] numerous broken relationships,” the affidavit reads.
“All accusations… I survived are real,” Thompson wrote Pitchfork in an email.
Thompson has been playing the drums since she was a child and previously played in the Fred Armisen-led band on season one of NBC’s Late Night with Seth Myers.
The publication Noisey asked a self-proclaimed witch for her opinion on the situation.
Noisey: Given all these accusations, would that classify Beyoncé as a witch?
Sarah Lyons: I’m not aware of Beyoncé being a witch or practicing any Occult art, but then again many magical practitioners believe that the more secret a spell or working is, the more powerful it is. So who knows! Maybe Bey is just very good at keeping secrets.
These are all pretty serious accusations, magically induced or otherwise, and I personally don’t want to think Queen B is responsible for any of them. However, they are pretty much the same things witches have been accused of for centuries. During the early modern period witches were accused of causing havoc in people’s lives, breaking up relationships, killing animals, and ruining crops, the 17th century equivalent of stealing a computer hard drive.
A judge has denied Thompson’s request for the order of restraint.
Beyoncé has not yet commented on the matter.
