According to Soros, the British people are not serious about leaving the EU. They simply want to express their discontent with the political situation in Europe and now that Brexit is a reality, they are demonstrating buyer’s remorse.

According to Christiane Amanpour, the Global Affairs Anchor of ABC News, the average Brit is terrified by the result.

ABC News has dubbed the supposed remorse “Bregret” and claims many Brits wish they could take back their “Leave” vote.
Kelvin Mackenzie, columnist for the Sun newspaper, said he now regrets his vote. “Four days later I don’t feel quite the same. I have buyer’s remorse. A sense of be careful what you wish for. To be truthful I am fearful of what lies ahead. Am I alone?”
Over the Independent, columnist Emily Tierney expressed a similar sentiment. “What have we done?” she wrote. “If I could take my vote back now, I would. I’m ashamed of myself, and I want my country back.”
ABC News points to a Survation poll conducted for the Mail on Sunday after the Brexit vote. It claims of the 17.4 million who voted to leave, 1.1 million wish they had voted Remain.
The New York Times went on step further and offered various ways to reneg on the vote.
For instance, the new prime minister might refuse to invoke Article 50 of the European Union’s governing treaty and instead act like the vote never happened.
Another escape hatch might be the Parliaments of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales refusing to approve Brexit. The Scottish National Party has pledged to take measures to remain in the EU. Moreover, so-called Buyer’s remorse, according to the Times, might result in a second vote to overturn Brexit. On Monday, an online petition calling for a second vote had 3.8 million signatures.

The “Bregret” campaign reveals the desperation of the establishment and its reactionary response when its power is rejected by the people.
On Sunday, Paul Manafort, Donald Trump’s campaign manager, said Brexit represents a rejection of globalism and “faceless bureaucrats” ruling the lives of millions of people.
“The promises that globalism is the solution, the promise that government’s going to make your life better if you just give up your freedoms, the promises that we know better than you on how to make your lives better, have been rejected,” Manafort said. “That’s what Donald Trump has identified, that’s what Brexit identified, and that’s what’s going to be the basis for the election in 2016.”
Manafort told Chuck Todd “you have to understand what happened there. What happened with Brexit was people taking back control. I mean, they get the faceless bureaucrats in Brussels and Strasbourg who have ruled and told the Brits how to live and making promises for them that their lives would get better and talking about a future based on globalism versus family and individual and local community.”
