Republican presidential front runner and billionaire businessman Donald Trump is making a campaign stop Wednesday on Long Island, where police are preparing for organized protests and possible arrests as the divisive candidate visits New York.
Several thousand participants are expected to attend the 7 p.m. rally at Gruman Studios in Bethpage, Long Island.
While supporters will be gathered inside the venue, protesters will be outside. Authorities said they are monitoring social media to make sure Wednesday evening is peaceful.

Demonstrators, both supporters and opponents of Trump, will be required to gather in a barricaded Free Speech Zone, made up of a quarter-mile strip of South Oyster Bay Road between Grumman Road and South Broadway. Extensive traffic delays are expected in the area.
