Grammy award-winning musician Dave Matthews told it is “too bad if we have to pay a little extra money for gasoline” and coal because that is what “we have to do” to protect the environment.

Before his performance at a benefit concert for primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall, asked Matthews, “You were critical of politicians in the past, and at this event. What do you think, though, the federal government needs to do on the environment, since you’re obviously concerned?”
