Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Friday arrested a 52-year-old officer for molesting a woman on a train in Saitama Prefecture, reports NHK (Sep. 25).
At around midnight on Friday, Yasuhiko Hori, a detective in the anti-organized crime division of the Takinogawa Police Station, is alleged to have fondled the lower body of the woman, 22, inside a car of the Tobu Tojo Line in Fujimino City.
Hori, who has been charged with violating a public nuisance ordinance, denies the allegations. “I did not do chikan,” the suspect is quoted by police in referring to molestation.
