Hillary Clinton supporters and anti-Trump social justice warriors are taking to Twitter en mass to cry to the world about Trump’s victory. Among the hashtags such as #NotMyPresident and #StillWithHer is a completely fake meme STILL being spread around claiming that Donald Trump called Republican voters dumb.
The meme, which can be seen below was created sometime in 2015 during the election campaign, suggests that Trump told People Magazine in an interview in 1998 that he could run for President as a Republican and get fantastic numbers because those voters are all ‘dumb’. It also suggested that Trump said he could ‘lie and [Republicans] would still eat it up’.
The meme is being spread around once again following Trump’s victory:

Of course, it is completely fake.
People magazine trawled their archives and found that Trump never said those words. Indeed, he never even gave an interview to the magazine in 1998.
Even the completely partisan sites Snopes, Gawker, and FactCheck.org have concluded the quote is fake.
Some of you people would lie about anything to make yourself look right. The "republicans are dumb" quote by trump is fake. pic.twitter.com/JL6W5YCUhW

Some on social media even acknowledged that the meme is fake, but said they were posting it anyway, as if their empty virtue signaling makes some kind of salient point.
Is it any wonder Trump won the election when these people made up his opposition?
What isn’t fake, however, is that leading figures within Hillary Clinton’s campaign are on record as saying they believe voters to be ‘stupid’ and ‘dumb’.
Emails released via Wikileaks revealed that Hillary ally Wendy Bronfein advised Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta on how to reach “f**king dumb” young people.
Marketing executive Bronfein told Podesta that Clinton “may not be the best face” to attract younger voters and that she needs to utilize “trending figures” as par of an “infusion to pull younger voters” because “that’s the crap that young people pay attention to”.
Bronfein went on to state, “It’s f**king dumb but being “cool” counts for more than it maybe should.”
Clearly Hillary agreed with this analysis because in the lead up to the election she rolled out vacuous celebrities like Katy Perry, Jay Z, Beyonce and Lady Gaga in a failed effort to attract the vote of the ‘fucking dumb’ youth.
This was also far from an isolated example of the disdain that Hillary insiders have for Clinton’s own voters.
Clinton ally Brent Budowsky also accused Hillary operative David Brock of having a plan that relied upon black voters being “stupid”.
In a leaked audio recording, Hillary Clinton herself was caught on tape saying Bernie Sanders supporters are “living in their parents’ basement” and had bought into a “false promise”.
In another email, Clinton operative Bill Ivey spoke of the need to maintain political power by producing “an unaware and compliant citizenry”.
And of course, there was the infamous ‘basket of deplorables’ comment aimed at half the population by Clinton.
Take note wannabe Presidents of the future, calling Americans ‘fucking dumb stupid depolorables’ doesn’t win you elections.
