President Trump has ordered the declassification of documents related to the FISA applications of campaign associate Carter Page, as well as the text messages of the top FBI investigators of the Russia investigation, according to a White House statement.
“At the request of a number of committees of Congress, and for reasons of transparency, the President has directed the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Justice (including the FBI) to provide for the immediate declassification of the following materials: (1) pages 10-12 and 17-34 of the June 2017 application to the FISA court in the matter of Carter W. Page; (2) all FBI reports of interviews with Bruce G. Ohr prepared in connection with the Russia investigation; and (3) all FBI reports of interviews prepared in connection with all Carter Page FISA applications,” the statement reads.

Included in Monday’s release will be un-redacted text messages of former FBI Director James Comey, former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former special agent Peter Strzok and lover FBI lawyer Lisa Page, and associate deputy attorney general for the DoJ Bruce Ohr.
“In addition, President Donald J. Trump has directed the Department of Justice (including the FBI) to publicly release all text messages relating to the Russia investigation, without redaction, of James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Bruce Ohr.”
The long-awaited declassification by the president is believed to reveal further damning evidence suggesting leadership within the FBI and DoJ conspired to concoct a “Russian collusion” narrative involving Trump in order to overthrow the duly-elected president.
Trump had been warning he “may get involved” in declassifying the documents in the interest of transparency.

Just before declassifying the documents, Trump tweeted a clip of Fox News host Maria Bartiromo summarizing how the media is ignoring the issue of a “cabal of people at the top of the FBI and the DOJ” who tried to change the election by “creating a narrative that Donald Trump had anything to do with Russia and putting him into the Russia meddling scandal.”
