Ferguson, Mo. police officer Darren Wilson won’t be indicted in the shooting of resident Michael Brown, a grand jury decided.
The grand jury was asked to decide whether there was probable cause to believe that Wilson committed a crime when he shot Brown during a confrontation in Ferguson on Aug. 9.
The Federal Bureau of Investigations is still investigating the case for civil rights violations.
The shooting sparked protests in Ferguson for over a week which rose to international prominence after police responded to the unrest in military gear with little regard to First Amendment rights.
