Two Black Lives Matter supporters admitted to masterminding a plot to blow up a police station and kill numerous cops during a federal court hearing earlier today.
“The pair met in August in Ferguson, during the protests over the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, 18, by then-Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. They started talking about buying guns and organizing protesters to “be like an army” and fight back against police, their plea agreement says,” reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Olajuwon Ali Davis, 23, and Brandon Orlando Baldwin, 24, pled guilty on four explosives and gun charges that carry seven year prison sentences.
After federal agents and police began tracking their calls and movements, the two expressed an interest in obtaining car bombs that could be detonated remotely. Davis subsequently paid an undercover informant $150 to acquire three pipe bombs.
The plot was busted on the eve of the grand jury’s announcement that Officer Darren Wilson would not be indicted, timing that prevented “what potentially could have been a major disaster,” according to U.S. Attorney Richard Callahan. The St. Louis County prosecutor and Ferguson police chief were said to be two targets of the planned attack.
“Investigators identified both defendants as members of the St. Louis Chapter of the New Black Panther Party,” states the report.
This story once again illustrates how the Black Lives Matter movement, which is being funded by billionaire George Soros, is only serving to discredit genuine opposition to police brutality by resorting to violent action and rhetoric.
Such tactics have been given legitimacy by leftist media outlets like Time Magazine and Salon, both of which venerated violent unrest and looting in the aftermath of the Ferguson and Baltimore riots.
While the liberal media will wring its hands endlessly about the threat posed violent right-wingers – as it did during the Cliven Bundy standoff last year – leftists who advocate violence are ignored or even encouraged.
After the shooting of two police officers in Ferguson back in March, President Obama responded by saying that Ferguson was “worthy of protest”. Black Lives Matter supporters celebrated the shooting on Twitter, with one user commenting, “Two pigs get shot? Best day #Ferguson has had in years.”
NYPD cop killer Ismaaiyl Brinsley also carried out his brutal execution of two police officers in “retaliation” for the shooting of Michael Brown, another murder spree that was celebrated by many Black Lives Matter advocates.
Following the unrest in Ferguson last year, dozens of ‘Black Lives Matter’ demonstrators were filmed in New York chanting, “What do we want? Dead cops. When do we want it? Now!”
Armed Black Panthers also called for the murder of police officers during an open carry march at the South by Southwest festival in March, chanting, “The only good pig is a pig that’s dead.”
