Can you have Breitbart.com without Andrew Breitbart?


The death Thursday of the combative online blogger and publisher leaves open the question of what will become of a thriving colony of conservative websites for which he was owner, prolific contributor and relentless salesman.

Colleagues from one of his websites say it’s not over and a major, unspecified expansion is coming.

Joel Pollak, editor in chief of Breitbart.com, said his boss worked ‘hard on it right up until the last few hours before he died.’

Another possible expansion for Breitbart’s media empire may have been a job on CNN.

Just last weekend Breitbart had told friends he was in the early stages of talks with the cable network about a potential Crossfire-style program, according to an exclusive from Mail Online’s Toby Harnden.

The television program would battle the politically Right against the politically Left with the potential match up of former Representative Anthony Weiner (D – NY) and the man who helped torpedo his Congressional career – Breitbart himself.
