Texas Governor Abbott disputed the lunacy, saying ” Stop political correctness in our schools. Of course Texas schoolchildren should be taught that Alamo defenders were ‘Heroic’! I fully expect the State Board of Education to agree. Contact your SBOE Member to complain.”

Where the SBOE has failed by insinuating their social justice warrior virtue signaling, is by ignoring the actual circumstances between the heroes at the Alamo and the Mexican Army.

The makeup of the soldiers who fought at the Alamo was actually Texians and Tejanos.

This wasn’t a clash between an emerging anglo oriented American culture and Mexican culture.

These were two political systems clashing, with one shaking off the clutches of tyranny in the fight for freedom.
