Michael Moore (net worth $50 million) was so unhappy when he heard of Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder’s ban on allowing Syria refugees, he took a stand. Moore wrote a Facebook letter of defiance to the governor in which Moore offered his Traverse City home to Syrians who need a place to live in the United States.

Moore’s $5.2 million 11,058 square-foot three-floor mansion at 222 S. East Torch Lake Drive, Traverse City has been on the market since July 30. Guess it’s not selling so quickly in this economic environment, especially in Michigan. But according to reports the “luxurious lakefront compound” is owned by his wife since theirdivorce, so Michael doesn’t really have the right to tell potential Islamic State members they are welcome to move there.
Too bad. With seven bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, five fireplaces, elevator, office, gym, art studio and a two-bedroom guest cottage, there’s plenty of space to sit around with like-minded individuals and trash capitalism.
So, if it’s not the “vacation” home, then which of Moore’s nine homes is he referring to? Is it that tiny 700-square foot apartment in northern Michigan, Michael mentioned in the p.s. to his letter?
P.S. By the way, my 700-sq. ft. apartment in northern Michigan is a little small, but it’s got cable, wi-fi and a new dishwasher! Also, no haters live on my floor! Stop by any time for a hot chocolate this winter.
Is that the only one he is willing to share with Syrian refugees? Why not invite the Islamic State to his properties in New York?Wouldn’t they have better access to east coast transportation and population centers? How about the Manhattan condo that was once three apartments? Sounds like extra room to share with the brotherhood.
Michael, if you really want to impress people that socialism works and you are the “everyman” you want us to believe you are, then go ahead and give all of your wealth and properties away and keep the 700-square foot apartment for yourself. Then again, it’s pretty obvious this socialist doesn’t even understand what socialism really is, so…
@MMFlint That's not socialism. Those are leftwing & rightwing policies. Real socialism will have no taxes or money. pic.twitter.com/V7333HxWyS
