A treasury report released Friday reveals the IRS spent approximately $50,000 on videos such as this Star Trek spoof for a training conference in Anaheim, California.

The IRS, however, is unsure of the exact costs because unlike the American taxpayer, the agency was not required to track and report expenses. Furthermore, the agency did not even file W-2s on all applicable employees attending the conference. With a sick sense of humor, the IRS organized the conference for their Small Business/Self-Employed division, which handles the taxpayers harassed the most for expense receipts.

The costs of this conference is not unusual for the agency. From 2010 to 2012, the IRS hosted 225 conferences across the nation, six of which cost over $1 million. The total cost for all of the conferences in this period topped $49 million.
